Some loves don’t follow the usual shape, and neither should the ring that marks them. This marquise solitaire is for the person who wants their engagement ring recognized from across the room. Its long, tapering silhouette has been worn by people with a sense of occasion for centuries, and it still feels like a quiet act of confidence.

At the centre sits a 2.00 carat lab-grown marquise diamond, IGI certified at F–G colour and VS2 or better clarity. That means bright, near-colourless fire and clean, lively facets that send light running from tip to tip. Four slender claw prongs hold the stone at its points and sides, so as much of the diamond as possible stays open to the light. Below it, a softly tapered band of polished 14K yellow gold rises to meet the setting, and its warmth makes the white of the diamond look even crisper. Because the marquise is elongated, it also makes the hand look longer and more graceful, with a presence well beyond its carat weight.
